Imani Models has taken a responsibility to give back to community by training the girl child/any models (hyperlink):- At Imani international Model Management, you learn the same modeling techniques used by today's top runway models as well as classes in television commercials, and photo movement which will give you a professional edge no matter what your ultimate career goals may be.

No matter what area of modeling you are best suited for, all models have in common the professional skills needed to land professional and glamorous jobs. Training is the key to success in any profession. Even someone " born to be a star" risks losing it all if unprepared for his or her "big break" in modeling or acting.

And, as modeling is so rewarding and challenging, those models who train with IIMM, will develop skills that serve them well in any career. Some IIMM graduates have chosen to go into the business world, others have chosen to use their fashion and beauty experience as a stepping stone to careers as stylists, makeup artists, and designers . . . while others have benefited by simply becoming a better and, more confident person that we sign up.

We train the models on topics such as runway, photo movement, model poise and posture, skin care, personality development, wardrobe planning & accessorizing, nutrition and exercise etc. This is a project that Imani is pursuing mainly to help the girl child develop her full potential and skills.

There are so many talented/gifted young girls I have come across, since Imani Int. Model Management was incorporated in Nairobi, Kenya in 2005. Young girls from different walks of life, both socially and mentally, and economically walk in every day, looking for an opportunity to get signed by Imani, in order to get an opportunity to showcase their undeveloped skills within the international modeling industry, and eventually make their break.

A lot of the models have been/ are in situations that leave them no option of earning a living in a 3rd world country, with the title "Model," and they end up taking the wrong direction in life. Some have no parental figures to guide them and love them and direct them, others have no support from family, others go out of their ways to meet "mzungus" who they believe can take care of them; they do anything and everything to move in with these men and not too long after, do the aftermath of "use and abuse" catch up…looking for money in the wrong places.

Unfortunately, artistic and creative talent has not been fully embraced in Kenya, However, I would urge our youth to keep perfecting their skills and possibly try to get involved with forums that creat a platform for artists to showcase their talent, such as WAPI, and finally their talents will translate to income for decent survival. Imani is also available for encouragement and motivation to the youth that have decided to pursue modeling, based on my 8-year international experience and exposure in the modeling industry.

We hope that all barriers affecting the girl child may be eliminated to enable girls without exception to develop their full potential and skills as we promote and protect the rights of the girl-child and increase awareness of her needs and potential.
